ELECTRIC CHAIN HOISTS
Our Electric Chain Hoists can handle 150kg to 10t loads (light to heavy) and offer the highest level of build quality, and are suited to a broad range of applications.
Electric hoists are the most commonly used hoist type in South Africa, helping to improve efficiency across diverse industries and applications. As the sole distributor of Güralp, no other service provider is better suited to ensure you have the ideal product for your specific needs and budget. Quality and reliability are of utmost concern, and we use only the best technology when designing and manufacturing our lifting solutions – and we look for the same qualities in the products we import and distribute.
RGM Cranes offer an extensive range of electric chain hoists to cater for your lifting requirements
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF AN ELECTRIC CHAIN HOIST?
HOW DO ELECTRIC CHAIN HOISTS WORK?
The motor has a brake that has an interlocking mechanism in combination with a motor that operates in a unique way. When the electric chain hoist is in operation the energy supply to the brake will be released, but when the motor is off the supply is automatically provided and the brake resumes to ensure that the crane load can be held.
WHAT DO ELECTRIC CHAIN HOISTS DO?
WHEN SELECTING AN ELECTRIC HOIST CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:
- Required capacity – based on current and future needs.
- Lifting speed – depending on production output needs.
- The height of lift – highly dependent on building height.
- The type of material being lifted and work environment.
- Duty cycle – how often the chain hoist will be operating per day.
- Budget – consider more than just the initial cost, think about maintenance too.
- Get a guarantee – the warranty a manufacturer or supplier is willing to put behind their product is a sign of its quality.
